The Member representing Nnewi North Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Nonso Okafor, has renovated a four bedroom bungalow for a widow, Mrs Ebere Igwilo at Umuzu,Otolo, Nnewi.
The bungalow which was renovated alongside the toilet and bathroom was inaugurated yesterday.


It was a moment of joy to the widow and her five children who have been homeless since June this year, after their house was gutted by fire.


In his speech, Honourable Okafor explained that the constituency project is his own way of alleviating the sufferings of his constituents as well as attracting the dividends of democracy to them.


The lawmaker also presented a cheque of one hundred thousand naira to the widow to start a small scale business, which will enable her to train her children and cater for her family.
The lawmaker transformed the house into a modern bungalow with furnishing to ensure that the widow and her children could have some respite.


He assured that he will always carry out life touching projects in his constituency to justify the mandate given to him.
Responding the widow, Mrs Igwilo stated that she heaved a sigh of relief when the lawmaker renovated her house as she felt nobody could salvage her situation.


She described the legislator as a man filled with the milk of human kindness and thanked him for his benevolence.
