The remains of Late Justice Jude Okeke has been laid to rest in his
home town Umusiome village Nkpor.

Aged Sixty-one, Late Okeke was a Judge of High Court, Federal Capital
Territory Abuja.

The funeral mass in his honour was held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Nkpor.

Speaking in a homily during the burial mass, ReverendnFather Bede
Okoli charged the people to live a life that will leave good memories
behind.

Reverend Father Okoli reminded the congregation that one day they
would all stand before God and give account of the life they lived on
earth and described Late Justice Okeke as a true christian who kept
the Catholic Faith till the end, adding that his love for God and
humanity drew men from all works of life including priests from the
Anglican church.

Addressing the congregation, the President General, Nkpor Development
Union, Sir Innocent Mbagha said late Okeke was a true son of the
community who kept the flag flying while in Abuja.

Sir Mbagha stated that the late judge identified with the community in
all ramifications, adding that his peaceful and accommodating nature
fetched him the name OCHUDO NKPOR.

Speaking to ABS, the daughter of the deceased Yvonne Okeke said the
death of her father created a vacuum in the family, stating that she
would remember her father for the hero he was and the good memories he
left behind.

On his part, a member of Christ the King College, Old Boys
Association, Professor Peter Katchy while speaking on the long time
friendship with the deceased, described him as one of the most
transparent judges in Nigeria.

Family, friends and Colleague took turns to recount the good memories
of late Justice Okeke.

The occasion was graced by top government functionaries, men of the
Bench and Bar, Anglican priests, Christ the King Old Boys, Ogbunike
Age Grade among others.
