Anambra State chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Sir Norbert Obi says Anambra Airport project will reposition the economy of the state and make it more competitive globally.
Sir Norbert, who stated this at Anaocha Local Government headquarters, Nneni while addressing APGA ward executives during the on-going local government assessment tour by the State Working Committee, noted that the airport, which is currently taking the major resources of the state, will create employment, boost commercial activities and attract more investors into the state.
A party stalwart, Chief Cyril Okoye, while urging members to remain focused and peaceful, noted that APGA has done well in Anambra State and has every reason to win the forthcoming elections.
In their separate remarks, the state Secretary of the party, Barrister Tony Ifeanya and the party Vice Chairman Central, Chief Theophine Nnoli, who also doubles as the Committee chairman in charge of the tour, noted that APGA being the sole Igbo political party should be embraced by Ndi Igbo.
The Anaocha Local Government Transition Committee Chairman, Mr.
Patrick Onyedum, expressed optimism that Anambra in the next twenty years will set an unbeatable standard in Nigeria and even across Africa.
The Special Assistant to the governor on events, Chief Anthony Ugorji, who expressed satisfaction with the level of patronage given to Anambra made brands by the Obiano administration, also commended Governor Willie Obiano for paying greater attention to the youths with regards to employment and empowerment.
