National Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers,
NAPPMED, Bridgehead Ogbo-Ogwu International Market Onitsha, has
donated three Sienna Toyota vehicles and modern office tables to
Police Zone Thirteen Headquarters at Ukpo, Dunukofia local government
area.

The state Commissioner for Trade and Wealth Creation, Mr. Uchenna
Okafor accompanied the group during the official presentation of the
items to the AIG in charge of the zone, Mr. Danmallam Mohammed.

Correspondent, Emmanuel Okonkwor reports that
Commissioner Okafor, who commended the group for supporting the
security architecture of the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie
Obiano through provision of logistics, assured the AIG that the state
and Ndi Anambra will keep supporting them to sustain the tempo of
security network in the state.

Mr. Okafor appealed that security agencies in the state should keep
playing their own part to earn the people’s support.

On his part, the chairman of the Ogbo-Ogwu International Market, Chief
Donatus Ajamma said the gesture was to assist Governor Willie Obiano’s
effort in the security sector, and to increase the mobility of the
police zone for accelerated security services for the residents as
well to create good relationship between Police and traders at the
market.

Receiving the items from the group, AIG Mohammed appreciated them and
promised that the zone will continue to be on top of its game to
ensure effective protection of lives and property in Anambra State.

In a vote of thanks, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of
Criminal Department in the zone, DCP Echeng Echeng thanked the group
for the donation which he said will beef up their routine exercise and
called for more assistance from the public.

The group latter paid a courtesy visit to the Commanding Officer,
Special Protection Unit Base 15 Awka, CSP Paul Okafor.
