The remains of the late Mr. Jeremiah Ihejirika Iloduba, have been laid to rest at his country home in Umuenemchi, Uhualor Ihembosi in Ekwusigo Local Government Area.
Born seventy-seven years ago, the late Iloduba, was a devout member of the Anglican communion.
At a funeral service in his honour, attended by the Anglican Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Right Reverend Ndubisi Obi, the Vicar of Saint Matthew’s Anglican Church, Ihembosi, Reverend Canon Kenechukwu Obi, reminded Christians that man is on pilgrimage on earth, whose life must come to an end at an appointed time.
Reverend Canon Obi, said it is important for Christians to know their God, serve him with their time and lives, as there is no repentance in the grave.
He said the best for Christians is to live responsible lives, in order to die in Christ and have hope of eternal life.
Speaking after condolence visit to the bereaved family, a son-in-law, Reverend Canon Izunna Muoneke of the Aguata Anglican Diocese, said the deceased was a peacemaker and a goal getter, with strong leadership qualities within and outside his community.
He thanked the Anglican Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Right Reverend Obi, his Aguata counterpart, Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor, represented by the wife, Chinyere, and other Anglican faithful, for their solidarity.
His wife, and daughter of the deceased, Obiageli Muoneke, who described her late father as a good, courageous and hardworking man who lived for Christ and fellow human being, prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest.
The late Jeremiah Ihejirika Iloduba, is survived by the wife, children and numerous relatives.
