Women of Igbo extraction have been urged to be role models to their daughters and up-coming generation through exemplary conduct.
Speaking at re-orientation forum for Ohaneze Women Wing in Awka, the State President of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene urged them to remain symbol of positive change in the society to reflect the culture and tradition of Ndigbo.

Paul Ezeoke reports that Chief Okeke-Ogene noted that women are fundamental in building a progressive and sustainable society as they are not only pillars of various families but also backbone of Communities, State and the Nation.

He urged them to discourage their children and wards from indecent dressing. Social vices and ostentious lifestyle while joining hands with their husbands to curb all excesses to reduce stressful life for families.

Chief Okeke-Ogene stressed the need for them to remain humble and submissive to their husbands to maintain peaceful and stable families and commended their outstanding conduct that distinguished them from others.

He restated the resolve of the leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo never to compromise the status and image of the organization for any reason or in any form in the drive to achieve the Igbo agenda.
In his remarks, the State Secretary of Ohaneze Ndigbo Chief Mike Nnakwuzie commended the high level of unity in all wings of the organization and urged Women to remain good ambassadors of Ndigbo.

Responding the State Woman leader of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Lady Rose Ekwenibe commended the purposeful leadership of Chief Okeke-Ogene which she said carried everybody along and remained objective and transparent in handling activities of Ohaneze Ndigbo.
Present at the forum was the administrative Secretary of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Mr Luke Onyekonwu.
