The State Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance
APGA, Mr Anthony Nwakile has called on the federal government to
address the insecurity challenges facing the country.
In a statement on the sixtieth Independence Anniversary of the
Nigerian-Nation, Mr Nwakile who expressed concern over the menace of
the Boko Haram Insurgents incessant killings especially in the
Southern Kaduna, cases of rape and acts of brigandage which have
bedeviled the nation in recent times, urged the federal government to
urgently address these challenges to restore people’s confidence in
governance.
According to Mr Nwakile government should create a conducive
atmosphere where every Nigerian should have a sense of belonging.
He advocated the restructuring of the Nation’s economy from a
Mono-economy to a diversified one with emphasis on Information
Technology and agriculture with youths actively involved in the
processes.
On the educational sector, the State organizing Secretary of APGA
canvassed for the adjustment of the Nation’s educational curriculum
with emphasis on addressing the needs of the people and not strictly
tied to the demands of Western education which places high premium on
literacy and basic sciences.
Mr Nwakile prayed God to give the Nation’s leaders the political will
to effectively manage the Nation’s abundant resources.
He extolled Governor Willie Obiano for his effective security network
which has attracted huge investments to Anambra State.
On the prospects of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Anambra
State Mr Nwakile disclosed that the party is involved in a fact
finding tour of the three hundred and twenty-six electoral wards in
Anambra State to fine tune the party’s strategy towards improving on
its existing intimidating political records.
According to him the ongoing tour will expose the State working
committee of the party to the challenges facing APGA at the ward level
saying that the party cannot afford to drop from its enviable track
record.
