Farmers, market men and women in Anambra West local government area have become proud beneficiaries of two critical infrastructures, worth thirty-nine million naira, executed by the FG VCDP/IFAD to further add value to agricultural produce in the area.

The projects are a Cassava Bulky Center with a solar powered borehole at Agba-egbu, community and another solar powered borehole attached to market stores and stalls at Nkwo-Otupu market, Mmiata.

Commissioning and handing cover the projects to the beneficiaries, the Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on FG VCDP/IFAD, Mr.
Obioma Mbanefo charged the communities to reciprocate the gesture by making proper use of the facilities for their own goodthe State Programme Coordinator, FG VCDP/IFAD, Mr. Nnamdi Agwuncha, urged them to take full ownership of the infrastructure and ensure maximal use and maintenance.

Mr. Agwuncha, represented by the state procurement officer, Mrs. Chika Agwaramgbo encouraged the Operation and Maintenance Committee to practice maintenance culture to aid sustainability of the facilities In a vote of thanks, the VCDP farmers Cluster chairman, Mr. Chris Nwabueze commended the FGN-VCDP/IFAD and the State government for the gigantic projects sited for them and promised maximum utilization, protection and value for money.
