President Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday present the thirteen point
zero- eight trillion naira budget proposal approved for the 2021
fiscal year by the Federal Executive Council to the National Assembly.
The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed,
had last Wednesday said that the Council approved the budgetary
proposal.
She explained that the total aggregate revenue projected for the 2021
budget was seven point eight-nine trillion naira with a deficit of
four point four-eight trillion naira.
According to the minister, the total capital expenditure projected in
the budget is twenty-nine percent of the aggregate expenditure, saying
the twenty-nine per cent is an improvement over the twenty-four
percent projected in budget 2020.
