As Anambra state Committee on Procurement, Pricing, Regulation and Distribution Of Petroleum products continues the monitoring of filling stations across the state, Ndi Anambra have been urged to report any filling station engaging in an unwholesome acts in Anambra state.
The Chairman of the Committee, Chief Chris Okonkwo while briefing ABS after he led members of the Committee on inspection of filling stations in Onitsha metropolis said that the call became necessary to ensure that all the marketers in the state adhere to international best practices guiding the operation of filling stations, which is one of the cardinal reasons Governor Willie Obiano set up the committee.
Chief Okonkwo said that they will continue to monitor the activities of petrol marketers across Anambra state to educate them on what they need to know about the business such as the dangers behind selling of adulterated petrol and gas, sitting of gas plants at residential areas as well as checkmating other numerous excesses.
He warned that any member of the Committee caught in any form of unethical conduct would be severely dealt with, as the committee among other things will equally ensure that petrol marketers in the state do their business without any form of threats or molestation as well as ensure that consumers have maximum value for their money.
Chief Okonkwo assured Governor Willie Obiano and Ndi Anambra that the committee will deliver on the mandate given it.
