Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu

~ Dr. Chris Ngige’s son and children of other prominent Nigerians, inducted!

~ Registrar, Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, commends Gov. Obiano and the University Leadership.

AWKA: The Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University College of Medicine, under the leadership of Prof. Greg. C. Nwakaoby, has graduated a total of 56 Medical Students.

The graduating students were inducted into the Nigerian Medical Council on the 19th day of October, 2020.

Remarkably, the number which is the highest of its kind since the inception of the University, had the son of the Former Governor of Anambra State and the serving Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Chris Ngige in the graduating set.

The oat-taking was administered by the Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Dr. TAB Sanusi. Delivering his remarks, the Registrar eulogized the leadership of the University and her entire Management for what they have done by seeing the children through to their finals.

He acknowledged that, the event remains the most outstanding in all the previous inductions he had attended within his adminstration as the Council’s Registrar noting that, it could only take a high academic standards for a serving Minister to allow his own son to remain in the institution. It also tells a lot about the Security of Anambra State under the present leadership of His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano.

He commended Governor Willie Obiano’s administration and his giant strides in securing life’s and property of Anambra people and on a special note, thanked the Vice Chancellor and the Management of the University to keep up their good works towards entrenching academy excellence in the school, stating that, that alone, is primus inter pares.

The Vice Chancellor was ably represented by Prof. F. C. Akpuaka.

Present in the ceremony, were the Minister of Labour, Senator Chris Ngige and his Wife, the Traditional Ruler of Alor and his entire cabinet, Members of the Anambra State House of Assembly etc.

There were Cash Awards to outstanding Students who distinguished themselves in various specialties.
