The Anambra State Internal Revenue Service has called on looters to return Government property vandalized from the Revenue House over the weekend.

The hoodlums who set the house ablaze on Saturday afternoon later came back at night and stole equipments worth millions of naira which includes plasma televisions, air conditioners, and many other gadgets meant for the operations of the board.

Correspondent, Amaka Chibuzor Okoye was there and reports that a look at the Revenue House shows how the hoodlums masqueradeing as End SARS protesters, burnt down operational vehicles, personal cars, and their information communication technology’s section of the House were raised down.

Narrating the ordeal, the Head of Administration Department, AIRS, Dr Mrs. Okwuchukwu Obichukwu lamented the ugly scenario stating that the hoodlums who pretended to be protesters invaded their office and destroyed the edifice and made away with all their equipment and
personal valuables.

She noted that the House which is highly automated, server’s and computers were also destroyed nothing that if not that they packed many of their vehicles some other place, many of them could have been destroyed.

Dr Mrs. Obichukwu pointed out that the House has just been renovated and equipped by their chairman, Dr David Nzekwu, wondering what the hoodlums were looking for since there were no palliatives inside the office.

She asked those who made away with their valuables to return them as they will deal with anyone caught in possession of their property pointing out that the present administration has been so
good to the youths and wondering what prompted such ugly scenario.

As it stands now, offices in the building were not conducive to work as everywhere is filled with flames and charcoals.
