The Chairman and Chief Executive of Anambra State Internal Revenue Service, Dr David Nzekwu says the Agency has resumed normal activities after invasion by hoodlums.

Dr Nzekwu stated this after conducting officials of Project Management and Monitoring Office who came to access the level of damages caused by the protesters around the facilities.

Correspondent, Amaka Chibuzor Okoye was there during the inspection and reports that the Chairman, Dr Nzekwu who gave the rundown of working equipment destroyed and those carted away said that the protesters engaged in mass destruction and looting .

He assured that the destruction did not affect their services as they have started working fully online in given Ndi Anambra better services and explained that all their services could be accessed online while they could be contacted through their various phone numbers.

The AIRS boss called on Ndi Anambra and others to come for their ANSID number, tax clearance certificates, tax assessment and many other services .

He debunked the rumours that there were palliative materials stored in their offices as their obligation is to administer revenue laws and generate revenue for the government.

The Director General, Projects Management And Monitoring Office, Mr Obumneme Akunyeli described what they saw on ground as devastating and assured that they would swing into action to ensure that the office is renovated.
