Anambra State Ministry of Environment raised its supervision of the environment by specially monitoring last month’s sanitation exercise following EndSARS protests and subsequent unrests across the country that left facilities destroyed.

The Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Obi Nwankwo who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Dr Emmanuel Okafor during the exercise urged Ndi Anambra to join hands with the Government in cleaning the entire state.

Mr. Nwankwo disclosed that Ministry’s contractors and all zonal supervisors had been asked to ensure that burnt tyres, road blocks barricades were cleared immediately to ease movement of people and vehicles.

He emphasized the need for people to always clean their environment.
