It was a moment of joy and jubilation as Mr. Simeon Chukwuebuka Nwankwo of Anambra Broadcasting Service took his heartthrob, Blessing Ikebudu down the aisle.

The solemnization of holy matrimony which took place at Our Saviours’ Anglican Church, Awka, attracted friends, the ABS family and relatives who gathered to bear witnesses to the newest couple.

ABS Correspondent, Amarachukwu Okafor reports that in his sermon at the marriage service, Reverend Chukwuka Obi emphasized the need for the new couple to make God the anchor of their marriage so as to overcome tribulations of life.

The newly wedded couple after the exchange of marital vows , exchange of rings as symbols of genuine love as well as signing of the marriage certificate flanked by their parents, danced to
the glory of God, marched into the reception arena to wine and dine with their guests.

Delivering his opening remarks, the chairman of the occasion, Comrade Emeka Kalu, described marriage as a union of two forgivers of imperfect beings, urging the couple to remain patient with each other.

The parents of the couple, Engineer Edwin Ikebudu and Mrs Patience Nwankwo, thanked God for giving them the opportunity to witness the union of their children and prayed for God’s continued guidance upon the couple.

In an interview, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Broadcasting Service, Dr Uche Nworah represented by Acting Director, Information Communication Technology ICT Department of the establishment, Mr Ugochukwu Afoekelu said the groom is a hardworking, reliable and friendly person, asking them to remain best of friends to make the marriage a memorable one throughout their lives.

The Senior Special Assistant to Anambra state Governor on Radio, Television and Creative Economy, Mr Marcel Manafa who is also a member of Board of Directors ABS described the groom, as a loyal fellow and wished them a wonderful marital journey.

The Deputy Chief Press Secretary to Governor Willie Obiano, Mr Emeka Ozumba was also present at the wedding ceremony.

Appreciating those who came to felicitate with them, the couple Mr. and Mrs. Chukwuebuka Nwankwo expressed gratitude for the show of love from their guests and advised young people to do away with the fear of getting married as it can be accomplished through God.
