The 2021 Appropriation bill presented to the State House of Assembly by Governor Willie Obiano has passed the second reading after a thorough debate by the law makers.
The Appropriation bill scaled second reading during yesterday’s plenary in Awka.

House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim, was there and reports that the Majority Leader, Dr. Nnamdi Okafor, led the debate on the Appropriation Bill at the Committee of Whole, after which every member of the House made contributions to it.
The Speaker of the House, Right Honourable Uche Okafor stressed the need for the three arms of government and stakeholders to join hands to stop leakages in internally generated revenue in order to boost the revenue profile of the state and achieve a realistic budget.
Also at plenary, the House confirmed the appointment of Mr. Patrick Chinweze by Governor Willie Obiano as the Transition Committee Chairman of Dunukofia Local Government Area.

Mr. Chinweze replaces Mr Emeka Okonkwo as the Transition Committee chairman of the local government area.
In a vote thanks, Mr Chinweze expressed gratitude to Governor Obiano and the State House of Assembly for finding him worthy to serve his people, assuring that he will employ equity and fairness in discharging his duties
