Member representing Anambra West Constituency in the State house of
Assembly, Honourable Patrick Obalim-Udoba says the Riverine
Development Commission Bill currently at the floor of the Assembly
when passed, will help to alleviate the sufferings of his people each
time there is flooding.

Honourable Udoba who made this known while speaking to newsmen in Awka
said that the Bill will among other things provide an avenue for the
riverine people to have a Commission to lay complaints to in the case
of flood, get compensation, interface with the government in times of
emergency of any sort as well as provide a platform for them to be
taken care of by all the relevant authorities due to the peculiar
nature of their areas.

On the 2021 appropriation bill recently presented by Governor Willie
Obiano to the Anambra State House of Assembly, the lawmaker expressed
satisfaction with the budgetary allocation for the Ministry of Works,
which he said will fast track the completion of all the ongoing state
government’s projects scattered across his constituency, most
especially roads.

Honourable Obalim-Udoba further promised the people of Anambra West
Constituency of more dividends of democracy from him.

He said that something big is on the pipeline for his constituents and
appealed to them to remain law abiding and help the state government
in ensuring that criminals have no place in the area, especially now
that yuletide is fast approaching.
