The Chairman Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Transport Honourable Patrick Udeoba has called on park Managers in the State to work in tandem with others to sustain the peace and harmony in the transport sector to boost the Internally Generated Revenue of the State.

He made the call while addressing members of park management in Onitsha.
The Chairman reminded them that the Transport sector is critical to the State warning that the committee will not allow any act of economic sarbortage against the State government.

He told them that the committee members were on the spot inspection of the blocked access link to Port Harcourt road through Nwaugo park approved by the Anambra State government.

He said their visit was sequel to a petition received from the approved government agent managing the park over the blockage.

The Chairman was accompanied by Honourable Doglas Egbuna representing Onitsha North Constituency one, Honourable Lawrence Ezeudu representing Dunukofia and Honourable Onyebuchi Ofor representing Ekwusigo Constituency in the State House of Assembly.

In a speech Honourable Ezeudu told the management that they want all the parties to appear before the committee with relevant documents.

Honourable Ezeudu advised them to coexist in peace adding that the economic situation in the country and even across the globe does not encourage waste.

On his part, Prince Chukwudi Ugochukwu explained to the committee that the owner of Nwaugo park is his father the Late traditional ruler of Umunze Igwe Matthias Ugochukwu who acquired the property in 1971.

He appealed to the members to use their good offices to save the suffering widows, artisans and Barrow pushers as well as other Transporters who earn their living there and also pay their tax and levies to the State government.
