Youths have been urged to identify and rediscover potential as catalyst for national development.
This formed part of submissions of discussants at Capacity Building Seminar for sustainable Community Development, organized by Umuagu Youth, held at Umuagu Hall Oba, Idemili South Council Area.
The Seminar was necessitated by need to champion a course on the way forward.
Addressing participants, while declaring the Seminar open, the President Umuagu Youth Forum, Mr Ekene Aghaeiefo, said ideas were initiated in building bridges for inclusive youth participation in Community Development.
He stressed the need to rekindle their consciousness as the bedrock of the society noting that such avenues remains a reminder for reorientation of value system as responsible citizens.
Earlier, a resource person and Veteran Broadcaster, Comrade Don Onyenji called for collaborative ideas and resourcefulness in investing into future and encouraged them to develop think tank philosophy, highlighting on the consequences of mortgaging their vision and aspirations.
Sensitizing them on the rights of the citizen, a human right activist, Comrade Chris Chidiadi, cautioned against abuses, violation of law and criminal tendencies.
Speaking to ABS, the Chairman Umuagu Development Union Mr. Tobenna Udeaja and Apostle Sunday Chukwuanu, lauded the convener for redirecting the minds of the youths.
In his goodwill message to the youth, a Chieftain of the Community, Chief Benneth Onyeka, advised them to be at the Vanguard in uplifting the status of the area.
For the Vice President, Mr. Ikechukwu Muoghalu, the platform has leveraged in uprooting negative attitude that would hinder them from achieving full potentials.
