The remains of the late Mrs. Jane Anyakamba, nee Osunkwo, have been
laid to rest at Obiuno, Igboukwu, in Aguata Local Government Area.

Until her demise the late Mrs. Anyakamba was a staff of the Anambra
Broadcasting Service.

The mood was sad and solemn as friends, ABS staff who were filled with grief came to pay their last respects to the late Mrs. Anyakamba.

The Late Mrs. Jane received numerous awards and was known for her
dedication to work and good relationship with staff members.

Describing death as inevitable, the Parish Priest of Saint Patrick
Catholic Church, Obiuno, Igboukwu, Reverend Father Kizito
Chukwunonso, who urged Christians to live a holy and exemplary life as
no one knows when death will occur, charged the family to take solace
in the Lord and prayed for the repose of late Mrs. Anyakamba’s soul in
God’s bossom.

Commiserating with the deceased family, ABS team led by the Director
of News and Current Affairs Department, Mr. Gab Okpalaeze, who
regretted that the death of Mrs. Jane has posed a great loss to the
family and the entire ABS, prayed God to grant them the fortitude to
bear the loss.

For the Director of Programmes, Mrs. Nneka Ekwunife, the Late Jane
Anyakamba was peace loving, humorous, punctual, committed and worked
with much vigor in the camera unit and was loved by all.

 The younger brother of the deceased, Mr. Christopher Osunkwo
described his late sister as hardworking, kind and never relented in
supporting the family saying that she brought value to the family and
will be greatly missed.

Mr. Osunkwo appreciated ABS management for their effort and support to
the family all through the illness of Late Mrs. Anyakamba, saying that
such a feat has shown the binding love amongst ABS staff.

Procession by ABS staff who chanted songs of grief round her grave and
condolences featured at the event.
