The leadership of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo in Anambra State has presented commendation certificate to its executive members in Ogbaru Local Government Area for effective service delivery.
They received the certificate when the State executive of the organization led by its President Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene visited them at the Local Government Headquarters Atani.
While performing the function Chief Okeke-Ogene who commended them for their various contributions towards protecting the interest of Ndi Igbo and promoting the organization in the area, called on them to be more committed to duty as the certificate is a demand for more selfless service.
He appreciated Governor Willie Obiano for supporting the state chapter of the organization in all ramifications without interfering in its affairs.
Earlier in his address, the Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo in Ogbaru Local Government Area Chief Nwachukwu Uzojie while thanking the state leadership of the association for the honour done them, assured that they will remain focused on the objectives of the group which include protection of Igbo nation, promoting honour, dignity and self respect among Igbos, promote and advance Igbo language and culture, among others.
In a remark, a special guest at the event Chief Ikenna Ezeokwuosa observed that Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo has always been committed towards improving the welfare of Ndi Igbo worldwide, and called on them to remain focused to the cause.
The Transition Committee Chairman for Ogbaru Local Government Area, Mr. Arinzechukwu Awogu, and executive members of the Local Government Area were present at the event.
