The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, has said that communal crisis is better resolved within the community without any external interference or third party to achieve lasting peace and stability Professor Chukwulobelu made this statement in Awka while addressing peaceful protesters from Ndiowu Community in Orumba North local government area of Anambra state.

The peaceful protesters marched from government House, through Aroma down to state House of Assembly Complex Awka, to register their displeasure over alleged intimidation, mismanagement of public fund and to have an elected Community leadership among others.

They were carrying placards and banners with different inscriptions such as, Ndiowu must have everlasting peace, Ndiowu is not for sale, Ndiowu deserves a PG, No more bad leadership in Ndiowu among others.


Professor Chukwulobelu who commended the group for the manner in which they conducted themselves by maintaining peace and orderliness, assured that their request will get to the relevant authorities for proper action.

Earlier while registering their case, a member of Ndiowu caretaker Committee, Mr. Onyeka Okeke and Ndiowu Youth Leader, in their claims, alleged that the present caretaker Committee are working against the progress of the community.

They also alleged that the member representing Orumba North Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Honorable Emeka Aforka and some group of people whom they described as cabals, have refused to elect Community leaders against the wish of the people and called on the state government to intervene.


Reacting to the allegations, the member representing Orumba North Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Honorable Emeka Aforka, who noted that every individual has right to peaceful demonstration described the allegations as false and should be disregarded.

Honorable Aforka further alleged that one Mr. Chike Emenike, the former President General of Ndiowu Community was behind all the leadership crisis Ndiowu is facing today but assured he will do his best to restore peace in their community.
