The coalition of Anambra Youth leaders has dissociated youths of Anambra from the rumoured commencement of another phase of EndSars Protest that will witness the destruction of vital social infrastructure in parts of the state, vowing that Anambra youths would resist such attacks in the state.

 

In a joint press release shortly after their meeting yesterday, the coalition noted that Anambra is a commercial hub where almost all Africans visit and or reside for one business or the other, hence Anambra Youth will not participate in any form of Protest or Attack that shall affect livelihood and stability in Anambra State.

 

The release also cautioned and warned all non-indigenes, who reside and or visit Anambra State, to desist from any action and inaction that shall sabotage the Peace, Security and Serenity being enjoyed in Anambra State.

 

The press statement further called on all Security Agencies in Anambra state, to also rise up to the occasion and gird their loins in defense of the state.

 

According to the statement , Anambra Youths pledged their unreserved support to complement and sustain the resolve of the State Government forwards absolute Security of Lives and Property in Anambra State, commending the security consciousness of Governor Willie Obiano, as well as the peaceful manner Anambra youths went about the EndSars Protest in the state.

 

They also commended the determination, transparency and resilience of the Anambra State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Police Brutality, Extrajudicial Killings and other related matters led by retired Justice Vero Umeh, for her resolve to ensure Justice to Nigerians who were victims of the dreaded defunct SARS.
