The Executive Secretary Anambra State Primary Healthcare  Development Agency Dr Chioma Ezenyimulu has urged Ndi Anambra  to uphold COVID -19 safety protocols to prevent  its spread this festive period .
Dr Ezenyimulu was speaking after receiving Ambassador for Peace Award from the  United Nations-POLAC at Nigerian National Merit Award House Abuja .
 She urged the people to  continue to protect themselves against the COVID-19 Pandemic especially now that  the second wave of the pandemic   is devastating  many countries of the world including Nigeria,  by wearing of facemasks, maintaining physical distance, regular hand washing and the use of hand sanitizers.
Dr Ezenyimulu explained that the award was in  recognition of her contributions towards  uplifting primary health care  in Anambra State and expressed satisfaction that her  efforts in primary health care in Anambra State is being recognized at national level.
She noted that under her  leadership as the Executive Secretay and Chief Executive Officer  of ASPHCDA, Anambra State came first position in the country  in Immunization in 2018 and  in 2019 Anambra State qualified as one of the States to receive the Basic Health Care Provision Fund having met the criteria due to the functionality of the  Agency, while 63  primary health care centers in the State have been renovated and equipped  including provision of Tricycle Ambulances for prompt referral of the sick.
She extolled Governor Willie Obiano for his sustained interventions in repositioning the State Health Sector and making healthcare services available and accessible to the people
