In a bid to ensure adequate motivation of workers in the Unified Local Government System, the Board of the Local Government Service Commission, Awka has released result of the promotion interview for 2020 conducted by the commission, for the qualified staff in the Unified Local Government System.

According to the released 2020 promotion interview result posted yesterday and signed by the Secretary and Head Local Government Administration of the Commission, Barrister Stan Nwattah on behalf of the Chairman of the Commission, Dr Peter Egenti, a total of eight hundred and ninety-six staff were promoted.

Speaking in his office on the released promotion interview result, the Commission Chairman, Dr Peter Egenti congratulated the promoted staff and called on them to justify their elevation by being more productive as well as give  greater support to  the Commission’s agenda of discipline and productivity geared towards a positive transformation of Anambra State Local Government System.

Dr Egenti further emphasized that promotion of senior staff on Grade Level seven and above is one of the statutory functions of the Commission, adding that the prompt release of the 2020 promotion result is one of the motivational strategies applied by the Commission for better performance of staff in the Local Government System.

Dr Egenti also reaffirmed the Commission’s determination to reposition the Anambra State Local Government System in line with its transformation agenda.

He also assured that the financial implications of the released promotion result shall be forwarded for necessary implementation and benefit accruing to the elevated staff.
