The Chief Judge of Anambra State, Justice Onochie Anyachebelu has urged the citizenry to work and pray in order to salvage the present situation of the country.
He made the call while proposing a toast at the Nigerian Bar Association’s dinner, held at Patterson Hall, All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha.
Justice Anyachebelu who noted that the leaders receive the blames for failure of the Nigerian system, charged followers to have the fear of God in whatever they do, adding that the foundation of the entire nation has already been destroyed calling on the people to embark on continuous prayer for the progress of the Nigerian-Nation.
He commended the organizers of the event for a successful outing while thanking the Current chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Onitsha branch Mr. Onochie Ononye for a well Planned event.
Others who spoke to the ABS, including Mr. Ben Osaka and Dr. Philip Chukwuma extolled the chairman, Mr Ononye for his efforts in uplifting the standards of the Nigerian Bar Association Onitsha branch through various ways.
Some of the personalities honoured at the dinner were the Anambra State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Uju Nwogu, Reverend Father Emmanuel Obimma, Mr Chris Ifedioramma, founder of the OCI Foundation for their humanitarian services.
A star prize of Toyota Corola Car which was among the prestigious items donated by OCI foundation, to the association was won by a female lawyer, Chizoba Onochie through a raffle draw.
