The funeral rites of late Nze James Obiora has taken place at his family compound Isu Ebii village Oba The event also featured the burial ceremony of his wife late Mrs. Eunice Obiora.,

The deceased who were devout Christians died at the age of ninety one and eighty years respectively were the parents of the National President Youth wing of the Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide, Mr Arthur Obiora.,The final journey to great beyond of the patriarch and matriarch commenced as members of the Men’s Christian fellowship and women’s Guild, Sympathizers, friends and well-wishers, members of Ohaneze Ndigbo within the state and beyond converged to pay their last respect to the deceased.,

 

In his sermon, at the burial service held in their honour at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Oba, Reverend B’isi Molokwu appreciated God for the lives of the deceased and reminded Christians to self-examine their lives, maximize opportunities, as they reflect on eternity.,

He said their lives stories had been testimonies characterized with virtues, encouraging christians to utilize resources in serving God and humanity.,Speaking on behalf of the family, the first son, Pharmacist Thompson Iwenofu and the first daughter, Mrs. Ego Okafor extolled the virtues of their late parents.,In his vote of thanks, Mr Arthur Obiora thanked those, who came to share in their grief.,National Executive members of Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide led by the President Chief John Nnia Nwodo, alongside the state President, Chief Damian Okeke- Ogene also condoled with the family.,In his tribute, Chief Nwodo urged them to be consoled that their parents lived an accomplished life.,Deputy President Youth wing of the Ohaneze Ndigbo, Dr Kingsley Dozie also identified with the family.,

Among those who paid glowing tributes were the Regent of Oba community, Chief Nuel Ezenwa, a former legislator, Comrade Tony Uche Ezekwelu.,The burial ceremony was a roll call of various groups, as they took turn to pay their condolences.
