Fifty eight primary Schools in Anambra west local government area have benefited from the member representing Anambra West Constituency, Honourable Patrick Udoba’s 2020 go back to school initiative .
The event which took place at Umueze Anam attracted pupils from all the primary Schools in the council area, their teachers, parents, various party officials, officials of Anambra state government, the clergy and traditional rulers among others.
The educational materials distributed by the lawmaker were, thousands of exercise books, school sandals, cartons of pen and pencils among others.
The lawmaker also used the avenue to distribute hundreds of bags of rice, shuttle buses and some cash as Christmas largesse to his constituents to help them cushion the economic effects of COVID-19 pandemic.
Addressing the people, Honourable Udoba said that what he has done was exactly what he had in agreement with his Constituents when he was seeking their votes.
Honourable Udoba explained that it has become customary to him to give out educational materials to the pupils, give scholarships, empower indigent people as well as take care of the elderly, and assured to sustain the gesture.
For the member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Honourable Chinedu Obidigwe, Honourable Udoba has positively touched the lives of his people in various ways, and appealed to Ndi Anambra West to keep supporting the lawmaker.
Earlier, the traditional ruler of Umuoba Anam, Igwe George Ekwealor prayed God to bless the lawmaker for his numerous good deeds.
Mr. Isaac Udekwe, one of the beneficiaries of the shuttle buses and a pupil Master Solomon Onuorah eulogized Hononourable Udoba for his magnanimity.
The event featured match pass and cultural dance by the pupils.
