The world football governing body, FIFA has filed a criminal complaint against its former president, Mr. Sepp Blatter over the mismanagement of the finances of its museum in Zurich.
FIFA said that funds which should have been channeled into the development of football were used in refurbishing a building it doesn’t own.
Reacting to the accusations, Blatter’s lawyer, Mr. Lorenz Erni said they are “baseless and are vehemently repudiated”.
Mr. Blatter presided over FIFA for seventeen years until he was banned due to criminal proceedings against him in 2015.
