As Christians all over the world celebrate Christmas, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Right Hon. Uche Okafor has urged Nigerians to use this opportunity offered by the season to resolve to love one another and to live together in harmony.
In his Christmas Message, Right Hon .Okafor enjoined politicians and religious leaders to be law abiding and place greater interest of the country above all personal or sectional interests.
The Speaker appealed to President Mohammad Buhari to include in his 2021 broadcast, the immediate reconstruction of all failed federal roads in the South-East Zone and appoint more people from the zone in his cabinet.
He said that since Jesus Christ preached and ensured peace among people and nations, Christians and non-Christians should pursue peace at all times and shun those attributes that could disunite the country.
While wishing Ndi Anambra a happy Christmas celebration, Right Hon. Okafor urged them to remain peaceful and loving as they have been and intensify their support to Governor Willie Obiano.
