The Deputy Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Dr. Paschal Agbodike has called on wealthy individuals to use the period  of Christmas in reaching  out to the less privileged in the State to give them a sense of belonging.

Dr. Agbodike made the call while speaking with journalists in Awka.

House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that the Deputy Speaker while expressing gratitude to God for giving Anambra State the grace to survive the 2020 which has been very challenging, urged the people to show gratitude to God by sharing their material resources with the less privileged.

Dr. Agbodike who is also the member representing Ihiala Constituency Two applauded Governor Willie Obiano for the way he fought the global COVID-19 pandemic and the EndSars protest that affected the state economy.

He noted that Anambra State is peaceful today with lots of festivities holding around the State because the Governor provided the enabling environment for such and urged the people, especially stakeholders to remain supportive of the Obiano administration to guarantee more dividends of democracy.

Dr. Agbodike expressed appreciation to Ndi Anambra who assisted the State government with funds and relief materials that helped to cushion the effects of coronavirus pandemic on the people.

On his part, the member representing Njikoka Constituency One in the State House of Assembly, Dr. Timothy Ifedioramma urged his constituents to desist from any form of celebration devoid of the teachings of Jesus Christ in the name of Christmas.
