During the debate, each candidate presented his manifesto before the people of the community to prove to them beyond reasonable doubt why he should be voted for during the election, scheduled to take place today, December thirtieth.
The candidates, Mr. Aloysius Tabansi, Chief Amaechi Obiesili, Mr. Christopher Ogwuejiofor, and Mr. Chika Nwankwo while presenting their manifestos, enumerated various ways they have contributed to the development of Urum community.
Speaking at the event, the chairman, Credentials Committee , Mr. Matthew Ekwoanya, and a stakeholder in the community, Professor Paul Oraekie said the debate was part of their efforts to ensure free and fair election to avoid enthronement of a selfish and incompetent leader.
Members of the community, who observed the exercise, were given opportunity to ask the candidates questions based on their manifestos.
