A group known as All4One Friends Club of Nigeria has paid the hospital bills of fourteen patients.

The group made the payment at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi as a way to round up the 2020 while ushering in the New Year 2021.

All4One Friends Club with the motto “Love and Sacrifice for one another”, has its aim and objectives as promoting the welfare of members, fostering and encouraging the spirit of oneness and companionship among members and between the club and other friendly associations.

It also aims at providing and engaging in acts of philanthropy for the needy.

According to the President of the Club, Chief Ifeanyi Epundu, the offsetting of the bills is part of their usual routine to always reach out to the less privileged, especially patients in  hospitals and inmates at correctional centres.

Chief Epundu said this will put smiles on the faces of beneficiaries in the New Year.

Chief Epundu also explained  that the club consists of people who believe in upholding family values while urging the beneficiaries  to know that their present circumstances are  not the end of their life.

The Chief Medical Director,  Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, Professor Anthony Igwegbe thanked the group for their humanitarian gesture and encouraged well meaning individuals to borrow a leave from the group by assisting the poor in the society.

The fourteen patients include two pregnant women who put to bed, accident patients, a man with a spinal cord injury and other individuals discharged between July and September 2020 but were unable to clear their medical bills.

The beneficiaries sang songs of joy and prayed God to continue to bless the association as they are the reason they danced into the New Year.
