The class of 1980 of Saint Michael’s Model Comprehensive Secondary School, Nimo in Njikoka Local Government Area has donated five computer sets to the institution as part of their contributions towards effective teaching and learning in the school

The old boys made the presentation to the Manager and Principal of the school, Reverend Father Dennis Nwabueze during their forty years anniversary and re-union.

The Chairman of the group, Professor Alexander Amah, said they were set of students admitted into the school in 1975 and graduated in 1980, saying that they deemed it necessary to organize themselves in order to lend their support to the development of the school.

Later in a thanksgiving mass, the manager and Principal of the school, Reverend Father Nwabueze said the set were fortunate to pass through the late Sir Michael Enemuo who was an uncompromising disciplinarian, urging them to keep the flag of the school flying and to continue to change and impact their environment.

Reverend Father Nwabueze, reminded the students that their greatest family is their class mates and commended the 1980 set for the love that has kept them together.

During a reception organised in their honour, the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Chief George Obi underscored the place of integrity in the life of a growing youth to achieve excellence in life while the Secretary General of the Association, Pastor Austine Aghaeze, thanked all the members for their contributions towards the success of their outing.

Those who spoke to the ABS included one of their teachers in class one, Dr. Tony Emeka-Eze, the anchor person of the group, Mr. Cosmos Oguejiara and Chief Innocent Ozobialu.

The old boys also visited the late Wilfred Belonwu Memorial Orphanage Nimo where they interacted with the children and presented some food items and cash to the matron in charge of the Orphanage, Reverend Sister Maris Peter who thanked the group and prayed for God’s blessings upon them.

Highpoint of the re-union and anniversary was the appreciation of two of their teachers with a cash gift.

The group had earlier on arrival paid a courtesy visit to the Traditional ruler of Nimo lgwe Maxi Oliobi who is also an old boy of the school.
