The Good Shepherd Children’s Hospital Ekwulobia has been dedicated. The hospital was built by an Ekwulobia born medical practitioner Dr Oluebube Okoye to take health care of children within the community and environs.
It was a gathering of family, friends and well wishers who converged to witness the dedication of Good Shepherd Children’s Hospital, which is the first children’s hospital within the vicinity and environs.
Several services including health care, diagnostic services, blood test and twenty-four hours clinic services will be provided by the facility.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the dedication, Mr. Okoye explained that he has the interest of his community at heart which was the reason behind the hospital aimed at providing quality healthcare to infants, children, and adolescents.
He lamented the high rate of child mortality in the society noting that most times children travel miles away to seek solution for their health problem.
The parents of the proprietor, Mr. Alphonsus and Mrs. Fidelia Okoye and well as his Aunt, Barrister Uche Okoye, expressed gratitude to God for the success initiative , praying that God will use him to touch the lives of many children in the society.
Earlier, while dedicating the Hospital , Pastor Chijioke Nwoke of Foresquare Gospel Parish Abagana Prayed God to take him to greater height.
