A group known as Equity Movement Turn by Turn has reaffirmed that zoning arrangement in the governance of Anambra State is for the interest of the entire State and Ndi Anambra.

The group stated this through its Chairman, Mr Gaius Ezeh on the occasion of Anambra South stakeholders heart to heart chat held at Ukpor, Nnewi South local government area, at the residence of the first Aviation Minister, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi.

While addressing the gathering, the Chairman, Equity Movement Turn by Turn, Mr Ezeh noted that the time calls for great sacrifices of personal interest for that of public interest.

He maintained that the South Senatorial District needs to present the best candidate for the Governorship position irrespective of the political party.

Earlier, the Host and Nigeria’s  first   Minister of Aviation  Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, while commending the group for the initiative, charged the aspirants to  be reasonable in their judgement and avoid a do or die politics.

He noted that zoning of governorship position will encourage rapid development in Anambra State and commended Governor Obiano for his efforts towards sustaining equity and fairness.

On his part, Senator Nnamdi Eriobuna, harped on the need for every political party to produce a candidate from the South Senatorial District and advised the aspirants to also allow the best emerge.

He noted that competency is very vital as the zone need to produce a Governor that will understand the pain of the masses.

The group through a communiqué raised at the occasion pleaded with all the political parties that will participate in the coming election to produce ensure their candidate is from the south.

Political Stakeholders including, Messrs. Valentine Ozigbo, Ifedi Okwenna, retired Group Captain Nnamdi Nnoruka and Chief Titus Anagbogu attended the ceremony.

Also present were traditional rulers from the communities in Anambra South Senatorial District among others.
