It was a day filled with Joy and happiness as Mr. Charles Okoye recently took his heartthrob former Miss Cynthia Onwukwe to the alter.
The Solemnization of holy matrimony which took place at All Saints Catholic Church, Adazi-Ani in Anaocha Local Government Area attracted family, friends and well-wishers who came to witness and share in their joy.
In a homily the officiating priest, Reverend Father Ignatius Onwuatuegwu, advised couples that in order to have a successful marriage, they should learn to tolerate each other knowing they are different beings from different backgrounds.
He urged them to obey and respect one another’s feelings and shun bringing in third parties into their marriage rather they should channel all their difficulties and challenges to God for solutions and guidance.
The newly wedded couple after the exchange of marital vows to one another, wearing of rings as symbols of genuine love, signing of the marriage certificate flanked by their parents, friends, danced to the glory of God with happiness and fulfillment.
Delivering his opening remark, the Chairman on the occasion, Sir Pete Ibida, who is also a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly prayed for long life upon the couple.
While urging the couple to emulate the good steps of their parents, Sir Victor Umeh, prayed for God’s ending love on the couple.
Speaking to the ABS, the member representingAnaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia Federal Constituency at the National Assembly Mr.  Dozie Nwankwo, described marriage as a favour from God, urging the couple to understand and love each other.
In their separate interviews, the father of the groom, Chief Cyril Okoye and mother of the bride, Mrs Nonye Onwukwe expressed Joy and advised the couple to be patience at all times.
In attendance were the Commissioner of Women and Children affairs, Mrs Ndidi Mezue, the member representing Anambra Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly Senator Uche Ekwunife and the member representing Anambra South Senatorial District Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, among others.
