In line with the Akulueuno initiative of Governor Obiano administration, two Nigerian movies “Tapam” and “Ochiuwa” from the Stables of Favour Oma Movies have been launched.
The launch, held at Community Primary School Field Amorka, Ihiala Local Government Area, attracted who is who in Amorka, government officials as well as music and movie makers.
Speaking at the occasion , the State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C-Don Adinuba said that Anambra State has become very important to various sectors of the economy including the entertainment industry due to excellent security network.
Commissioner Adinuba, who commended Favour Oma for hosting other movie makers at Amorka, described the gesture as perfect demonstration of Aku luo uno initiative of the present administration due to its investor’s friendly disposition.
The member representing Ihiala one Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Honorable Chidi Udemba noted the state government is making efforts towards promoting entertainment industry adding that the State House of Assembly will equally pass a bill that will provide for and empower talented Anambra Youths and urged Favour Oma not to relent in her efforts as Amorka people are solidly behind her.
The traditional ruler of Amorka, Igwe Kenneth Obiolemgbe and Ichie Moris Akabuogwu, while describing the day as a great one in Amorka community, prayed God to bless her even as he urged the youths to emulate her.
The father of the convener, Chief Mac-Donald Igwebuike and the Chief Launcher, Mr. Samuel Ezidiegwu said their joy knew no bound as the event is taking place in their town and advised Favour Oma not to relent but rather strive to soar higher in her carrier with the fear of God and constant prayers.
On her part, Miss Favour Oma Onyekwuche, who disclosed that she has produced nine movies said the love for her town formed her idea of launching the movies in her home town for the youths to know that they can fulfill their dreams if they remain focused.
Other guests at the event challenged the youths to harness their potentials and shun crime.
