The Member Representing Ihiala  Federal Constituency in the House of  Representatives, Honourable Ifeanyi Momah, has inspected twin road projects being maintained under his constituency scheme.

One of the roads under maintenance, the Ihiala-Iseke-Orlu Road, popularly known as Nitel Road, had, according to residents of the area, remained unpassable for some time having been blocked after turning into a refuse dump site, compounded by tracks of deep pot holes.

Another road under maintenance courtesy of the federal lawmaker is the Onitsha-Owerri Road, Okija-Oguta-Ihiala Bypass.

Honourable Momah, who is the Chairman, Hosue Committee on FCT Judiciary, was elected in January 2019 under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

Speaking shortly after inspecting the two roads, the federal lawmakers noted that the roads serve a major importance because of their interconnections with different towns in Anambra State and beyond, adding that he had ensured that the two roads along with several other projects were captured in the 2020 appropriation bill.

Also speaking, the Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr C-Don Adinuba, who was among the personalities that joined the federal legislator on the inspection, noted that one of the roads had been neglected for the past sixteen years, observing that the lawmaker has changed the paradigm of development in Ihiala federal constituency even though he has only been in office for two years.

In their separate remarks, the Councilor for  Okija Ward Four, Mr Stanley Nkameme and a resident of one of the areas, Mrs Uche Uzondu, said that Honourable Momah has shown that he is a man who understands the desires of his people judging by what he has achieved so far, urging him to sustain the vision and speed.
