Anambra State government through the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs has issued a letter of recognition to the elected executive members of Nimo Town Development Union.
The issuance of the letter followed the conduct of the election into the executive of the town union on 28th December 2020 at Nimo Civic Centre.
The letter of recognition by the Ministry acknowledged Ekenenna Okafor as the President General of the community, Anthony Aniedobe as first Vice President, while Valentine Oliobi is Second vice President and Akpuoye Justine-Uche as Third Vice President.
Others are Marcel Okonkwo as Assistant Secretary, Ben Okaa as National Treasurer and Hillary Ikechukwu as National Financial Secretary, while Clement Ezedinachi is National Publicity Secretary, Paul Ifezue is National Auditor and Emma Obiwelezor as National Provost.
The new executive will last for a period of three years with effect from the 28th of December 2020 to 28th December 2023.
Speaking after receiving the certificate, the new President General of the town, Mr. Okafor said his mission is to see to the development and peace in Nimo, promising to carry everybody along.
Other Executive members of the union joined their voices in appreciating theircommunity for finding them worthy to serve, pledging to support the leadership of the union towards achieving sustainable development.
