Anambra State Government has set up a caretaker Committee for Ndiowu Town Union in Orumba North Local Government Area.
The Committee, which became effective on February first 2021 and elapses on May first 2021, has three months tenure, except otherwise extended by the government.
A release signed by Mr. Tony Onyekomelu on behalf of the state Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Honourable Greg Obi listed Honourable Nnaemeka Nwajagu as the Chairman, and Mr. Ikechukwu Okoli as Secretary.
Other members include Ikenna Orji, Onyeka Okeke, Echezona Onuoha, Emerie Ifedilichukwu, Chukwunonso Onwuka, John Nweke and Alphonsusu Nwankwo as well as Mr. Chudi Okeke, Mcdonald Emenike and Bernard Uwakwe.
According to the release, the committee is mandated to reconcile the different factions in the community if any, provide a structure that will ensure and sustain peaceful co-existence and as well prepare grounds for the conduct of a credible Ndiowu Town Union election, which is to be supervised by the ministry.
