The Archbishop, Metropolitan and Primate of All Nigeria, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba has dedicated Diocese on the Niger Secretariat and the secretariat/staff quarters of the Superannuation Fund of the Niger Anglican Church.

Primate Ndukuba alongside Archbishop Alexandra Ibezim, other Archbishops and Bishops from across Anglican churches in Nigeria also dedicated internal roads within the All Saints Cathedral Church Onitsha.

Some of the internal roads were named after first Igbo Anglican Bishop, Bishop Alphonsus Onyeabor, late Archbishop Jonathan Onyemelukwe, Archbishop Henry Ndukuba as well as a philanthropist and an ardent Anglican, Sir Emeka Okwuosa.

In a sermon during the dedication service, Most Reverend Ndukuba thanked God for using Anglican faithful and the clergy to expand the gospel of Jesus Christ and committing selves to God’s service.

He told the Anglican faithful that dedication serves as a point of renewal to their commitment urging Christians to let Christ be the foundation of their lives to enable them to withstand the storm of life.

The Primate regretted that despite increase in churches, the society is still experiencing decay lamenting that people have started reviving some obnoxious customs and stressed the need for people to review the foundation on which they operate.

In a welcome address, the chairman, Secretariat Building Committee, Barrister Ben Uzuegbu, said the construction stems from the desire to build a befitting office that will propel enhanced productivity in various evangelical and humanitarian services in the Diocese.

He commended the visionary leadership of Bishop Owen Nwokolo, who instituted the building committee on March twentieth, 2017.

Some of the sons and relatives of those named after the internal roads including Sir Azuka Okwuosa and Mr. Onyemelukwe appreciated Bishop Nwokolo for the honour and pray for the continued growth of the diocese.

The event featured display from the little Angels of the Cathedral.
