The League Management Company, LCM, has fined Nigeria Professional Football League side Heartland for wearing shirts that didn’t display numbers, surnames, club name and logo.
The club wore the jersey for their match-day nine tie against MFM FC at the Agege Stadium on Sunday.
According to a statement by the LMC on Twitter, the acts breach Rules B9.7-8 for non-display of name & number on kits & B9.26 for wearing unregistered kits of the NPFL Framework & Rules.”
A fixed penalty of one hundred thousand naira is imposed on Heartland as well as a fine of one million naira for the breach.
The Owerri-based club is given forty-eight hours to appeal the sanction.
The league body also reprimanded Nasarawa United Team Manager, Solomon Babanja and Katsina United head coach, Baldwin Bazuaye for improper dressing.
