Anambra State Government has reiterated its determination to try violators of COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
To this end, mobile courts have been set up across the state to try offenders.
A release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, advised Ndi Anambra and residents to strictly observe all COVID-19 prevention guidelines issued by the government.
The release listed wearing of a protective facemask in public places and outdoors, maintaining social distancing at public gatherings, washing of hands regularly with soap for at least twenty seconds each time and regular use of hand sanitizers as some of the prevention guidelines.
It also ordered churches, schools, hotels, business premises, offices, markets and other public places to support government efforts to stop the spread of the virus in the state, by enforcing these guidelines.
According to the release, anybody convicted by the COVID-19 guidelines enforcement mobile courts is liable to a ten thousand Naira fine, community service or both.
