Sir Emeka Okwuosa, a philanthropist from Oraifite in Ekwusigo Council Area and founder, Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation, has donated the sum of four million naira to support the Presidential Address of the Archbishop, Metropolitan and Primate of all Nigeria, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba during the Church of Nigeria Standing Committee Meeting at the Patterson Auditorium, All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha.
Making the donation, Sir Emeka Okwuosa represented by the Executive Director of the Foundation, Sir Azuka Okwuosa who also donated the sum of one million naira, stated that over the years, the foundation has been at the forefront of touching lives through provision of basic amenities to communities, scholarship scheme, establishment of schools like Dame Irene Okwuosa Convent, Oraifite among others.
He stated that the Foundation will continue to be supportive of activities of the church and play a leading role in Anglican Communion.
Also, the internal road built by Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation named after him within the All Saints Cathedral was also commissioned by Most Reverend Ndukuba.
Earlier during the Presidential Address, the Primate called on government to encourage industrialization and reactivate Agro allied industries to create employment opportunities for the teeming youths.
Archbishop Ndukuba urged dioceses to establish hospitals to train health care givers and called for all hands to be on deck to ensure peaceful electioneering process and smooth transition in Anambra state governorship election and 2023 general elections in Nigeria.
