Anambra State House of Assembly has held a special valedictory session in honour of the late, Honorable Martin Enem, who represented Onitsha South Constituency between 1991 to1993.

House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that it was a moment of sober reflection as members of the House and the colleagues of the deceased paid their last respect to the late lawmaker.

Speaking, the member representing Onitsha South One Constituency, Honorable Uzoma Eli described the deceased as a distinguished parliamentarian, who rendered humanitarian services during his lifetime and enjoined his family to take solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilled life.

In his tribute, the member that represented Onitsha North Two Constituency in the first Assembly, Honorable Chike Anyaonu described him as one of the dogged legislators in the first Assembly, through whom they received what was due to them.

The Speaker of the House, Right Honorable Uche Okafor, who consoled the family of the deceased, described his death as a huge loss to Anambra State and enjoined his family to be consoled by the fact that their late father left indelible footprints on the sands of time.
