The Commissioner for works, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor gave the assurance when he went on fact finding visit to Arroma axis of the flyover.

Works Correspondent, Ngozi Obileri, who was part of the entourage,  reports that after a thorough tour of the flyover, it was observed that there are no cracks on the bridge against social media report that the flyover is collapsing.

Addressing journalists, Engineer Ifejiofor said contrary to the social report, what was on the bridge is an engineering technicality, which was put in place to accommodate the concrete, which tends to expand as the years go by.

Engineer Ifejiofor maintained that the three flyovers in Awka, Arroma, Kwata and Amawbia are very strong as they were built to international standard.

He said that the present administration has constructed fifteen bridges, four inherited, eleven completed and still counting, describing Governor Willie Obiano as a man of high taste, who despises shoddy jobs.

On his part, the contractor that handled the project, Mr. Yusuf Zreb explained that there are lines on the flyover as a result of the expansion joints for retaining walls, which they built to protect the flyover from accident effects.

The Deputy Chief Press Secretary to Governor Obiano, Mr. Emeka Ozumba, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Barrister Emenka Ohuoha and other directors in the Ministry were part of the visit.
