The member representing Onitsha South Two constituency at the Anambra State Assembly, Honourable Beverly Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche has expressed sadness over the fire incident that occurred at Amobi Street axis of Ochanja Market.

Honourable Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche was speaking while sympathizing with the land lords, traders and constituents, as well as the entire Onitsha South since it affected both Onitsha South one and two Constituencies calming them that all hopes  are not lost.

Honourable Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche, who commended the state government for providing firefighting equipment to quench the fire, thanked God that no life was lost.

She also commended the fire service men and others for their efforts to stop the inferno from escalating noting that without them it could have been a different thing altogether.

The law maker however promised that government will look into it to see what could be done.
