The Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on Special Duties and Public Orientation Mrs Ify Obinabo has called on Women to be alive to their responsibility especially as it concerns Child upbringing
Speaking to Newsmen on this year’s International Women’s Day celebration, Mrs Obinabo regretted the high rate of indiscipline in the society especially among youths and called for proper training and orientation of the youths especially the girl child.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Duties and Public Orientation used the opportunity to call for more Women involvement in politics describing them as better managers of human and material resources
Mrs Obinabo commended Governor Willie Obiano and his wife Dr Ebelechukwu for all their Programmes aimed at improving the Living Standards of Women and called on the Women to continue with their support and prayers to the Obiano administration
Contributing, the President of Aguata Diocesan Women’s Ministry, Mrs Chinyere Ezeofor called for the abolition of all harmful traditional practices against the Women folk.
Mrs Ezeofor who condemned early child Marriage, made a strong case for the proper training of the girl child to enable them assert their roles properly as future Mothers.
She used the opportunity to call on Mothers to always encourage their children in participating actively in church activities in order to be closer to their Creator
The Director of Catholic Women’s Organization in the Diocese of Ekwulobia Lady Theresa Azodo, called for the appointment of more Women into Key Government positions at different levels,
Lady Theresa commended the Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr Ebelechukwu Obiano for using the Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFE to touch lives calling for its sustenance
