Anambra Achievers Legacy Award (AKULULU UNO AMAKA-2021), in affiliation with Igbo Leaders of Thought General Assembly, is in line with the philosophy of “Ndi Anambra Nalue Uno and Build Your Home”; to promote good societal value and right ideals which our people are known for.

Anambra Achievers Legacy Award (AKULULU UNO AMAKA-2021) is also in commemoration of Anambra State at thirty, celebrating thirty exceptional achievers who have invested heavily in the state by building roads, award of scholarships, rural electrification, built factories which provided job opportunities to our youths and increased the revenue profile of the state; people who have imbibed the “Think Home Philosophy”.

Anambra Achievers Legacy Award is registered with C.A.C Abuja and empowered for the recognition of individuals and corporate organizations.

Anambra State was created in 1976 from the defunct East Central State, and its capital was Enugu. On August 27, 1991, it was further divided into Anambra and Enugu States. The capital of the new Anambra is Awka. The state at thirty in 2021 calls for celebration and introspection.

Anambra Achievers Legacy Award is a quadrennial event and would honour prestigious individuals, the ‘first eleven’ in their various fields of endeavour with the following qualities: individuals who have impacted on the lives of the people through their programs and projects with preponderance of evidence on ground to show for it, who have laid strong foundation to stimulate economic viability of the region; individuals who have  sacrificed their time, talent and resources for the betterment of Anambra State in particular and the humanity in general; the heart and soul of their respective communities;

For the sustainability of AKULULU UNO AMAKA PHILOSOPHY, Anambra Achievers Legacy has urged the South-East governors to key into the “think home philosophy; Akululu Uno Amaka or Akulue Uno Initiative” which encourages Ndi Igbo to bring back their investments to the region.

Anambra Achievers Legacy ensures that government provides necessary incentive such as land at highly subsidized rate for the development of factories, public and private establishments within a time frame. This would encourage mass investments to aggressively transform the region to economic and power house. The aspiration is achievable if our people are absorbed by the private sector and tertiary institutions, thereby actualizing the ultimate goal of becoming the Dubai of Africa.

Finally, Anambra Achievers Legacy cannot forget our heroes, to honour them for their contributions to the development of Anambra state in particular and Igbos in general; people like; Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, the Owelle of Onitsha, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (Dikedioramma) and others.

The event will be chaired by Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, former Governor of Anambra State. Special guests of honour are the governors of Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Abia, Rivers and Delta State, with all distinguished Senators, members of House of Representatives, Speaker and members of Anambra State House of Assembly, and their predecessors in office, among others.

The Fathers of the Anambra Achievers Legacy are the Chief Mbazuruike Amechi, (Darakunwafor, The Political Father of the Nation); the Boy Is Good; Honourable Justice Anthony Iguh (CON), Former Justice of the Supreme Court; Hon. Justice G.U. Ononiba (OON), former Chief Judge of Anambra State; Chief Simon Okeke (former Chairman, Police Service Commission) among others.  It is sponsored by All Christians Businessmen Fellowship International. More sponsors are wanted.
